What Dance Classes we have Available

Our Kindy Tots class is a favourite among our 4 and 5-year-old dancers! Designed to nurture a love of movement, this imaginative class introduces children to the world of dance through creative play, music, and storytelling.
In a fun and supportive environment, students develop fundamental movement skills, explore spatial awareness, and begin to connect music with movement. The class encourages freedom of expression, helping to build confidence, coordination, and a joyful foundation for future dance training.
At WDC, students studying Classical Ballet are trained in the internationally recognised Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. The RAD is one of the world’s largest and most influential dance education organisations, with a proud history of excellence and a global reach. Its patron was Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, reflecting its longstanding reputation and prestige.
Each year, over 250,000 students worldwide are taught the RAD examination syllabus, which focuses on building strong ballet technique, musicality, artistry, and discipline.
The Graded Examinations in Dance Syllabus includes two key disciplines:
-
Ballet – The foundation of the syllabus, focusing on classical technique, posture, coordination, strength, and grace.
-
Character Dance – A theatrical interpretation of traditional national dances, adapted for the stage. The syllabus includes three historically significant styles:
-
Hungarian
-
Russian
-
Polish
These styles have played an important role in the evolution of 19th-century classical ballet and bring a vibrant, cultural element to training.
-
RAD training provides a structured progression through levels and is ideal for dancers aiming to build a solid technical foundation, whether for personal development or a future in dance.
