There are many questions that come up when choosing the Dance Studio that’s right for us, and we’re here to help. We’ve prepared a list of some of the most frequently asked questions and their answers below. Still can’t find what you’re looking for? Be sure to get in touch.


Our studio has been purposefully built for dance.
Our studio is fully air conditioned and fitted out with ballet barres and mirrors.
At the front of the studio is a waiting area in side and a court yard for parents/guardians to drop off children.
Parking is available at the front of the studio or in the street.
Students have access to toilets and change rooms which is located at the back of the studio past the little dancewear shop.
Students also have the waiting room to store belongings or bring belongings into the studios.
There is also a water fountain available for students to re-fill their water bottles between classes.
Yes, private lessons and coaching is available at an extra cost, email wdcadmin@bigpond.com to arrange this.
• Each year Students from Whitsunday Dance Connection will compete in two or more annual Eisteddfods in dance, two being at Ayr and Mackay. Eisteddfods require extra commitment from the student as they undertake private lessons to choreograph their routines with our faculty. As well as our solo performers from time to time we select group routines to enter at competition level.
• Students preparing for exams, RAD or GWT, extra coaching is available before the exams, please contact Miss Jenny to arrange private lessons.

Whitsunday Dance Connection has its own private members Facebook Group where our dance community meets and where you can find important studio updates, helpful videos on how to do ballet buns/makeup, or find last minute messages from your class teachers.
Our Studio is based in the heart of the Whitsunday, 13 Commerce Close, Cannonvale.
Parents/Guardians are not permitted to watch classes during the term. However at the end of each term (except for term 4 which is the term of our annual WDC Concert) we have special parent/guardian viewing week. We encourage all parents/guardians to attend to support their children and watch what they have learnt through-out the term.
No, parents/guardians do not need to wait around for class to finish. Simply drop your child off at the front of the studio to wait for their class to commence.
• Students should arrive 15 minutes before classes to ensure they are prepared and warmed up.
• Children must be collected on time once the class has finished.
Term fees will be emailed at the commencement of each dance term.
These are payable at the commencement of each term for the whole term.
We have payment plans available should you wish to pay weekly/fortnightly. Please email wdcadmin@bigpond.com to set up a payment plan for your tuition fees.
Fees are non-refundable for missed classes. This is due to our strict number of places available in each class.
There is an Enrolment Fee per child must be paid to secure your child’s position.
Amount limit of Students to a class can vary on the style ie. Acro is capped at 14- 16 students, and other styles could have up 30 students.
